Hear from our Student Members

“As a Finance major and current Chapter President for the Student Financial Management Association (FMA) at UH-Downtown, I keep a close relationship with the faculty and staff.  Maxine Todd, a counselor at the Career Center spoke to me about RMA and the possibility of having Mr. Tony Ross, EVP at Woodforest National Bank, discuss the opportunities available to students. Mr. Ross spoke to the FMA group about membership, scholarships, networking and career opportunities available to RMA members. His willingness to share valuable information motivated me to get involved and make the best of it. I also encouraged all FMA members to do the same. Then, I registered for the FED tour and social event which I found very informative as well as a great platform to network. I am now working for the Commercial Real Estate Group at Comerica Bank so I plan to develop as a banking professional and stay active with RMA even upon my graduation to maximize all that is available.”
