If you have applied for the CRC exam, or are considering applying, RMA provides tools to help prepare you for the exam. We offer several examination preparatory avenues. The CRC Steering Committee recommends 40 to 80 hours of examination study time.
RMA offers courses that are beneficial throughout your career or as a refresher to help prepare you for the CRC exam. Although taking courses may help, on-the-job experience and knowledge will be necessary to add depth to the tools offered by RMA.
RMA offers the Fundamentals Exam free of charge for any individual registered for the Credit Risk Certification (CRC) exam. The Fundamentals Exam doesn’t simulate the actual complexity of the CRC test questions. You should use the Fundamentals Exam as an additional study guide for the CRC body of knowledge.
In addition to the Fundamentals Exam, we also offer any of our Lending Decision Process (LDP) series to registered CRC candidates.
Curious as to what may be on the exam? Find here a few examples of the types of questions you may encounter.
RMA recommends that you begin with the CRC Practice Quiz. Whether you are planning to take the CRC exam now or in the near future, this gives you an opportunity to better understand the exam and the types of questions you will encounter. (Open to accepted applicants and those considering application to the CRC exam.)
The Credit Risk Certification Handbook is designed to assist you in your preparation for the CRC Exam. The Handbook includes details about exam procedures, exam preparation—including study tips—policies, and recertification procedures.
